This looks like a great way of using some of those little pieces of vintage glass that we can't seem to pass up sometimes...a fun fall-winterish project...
Or for the lazy ones (wink, wink) this firewood-scented candle by Diptyque is also wonderful. Most scents, especially holiday scents, are too overpowering for me, but this one I found in a shop last week and loved it! We're not for lack of firey smells in Southern California right now, but maybe as the season progresses and I start missing a fireplace...

Hi Courtney! I was just reading about the horrible, scary fires down there, and hope you are all safe! How sad!!!! Love the fun candle ideas....saw something similar with homemade candles in teacups in the Country Living Nov. issue! :)
we can see two of the fires from the hill where we live. it is so weird. some of our friends have been evacuated in various places...awful! hmm...i'll have to check out the country living website...
