I was so excited to get an email preview of Amy Butler's new fabric line: Midwest Modern, inspired by her new book of the same name. As I love that book, I wasn't suprised to love the new line (launching April) as well--especially the earthiness of design and warmth of color.
And, speaking of being excited about an upcoming Amy thing, today I reserved space at the Stitchin Post's Amy Butler Tea and Trunk Show on May 12. Saying I'm really looking forward to meeting Amy and having her talk about her fabrics, patterns, books and design is kind of an understatement! How fabulous is this? Is it May yet?

Oh wow! Can't wait to have these fresh off the press, eh?! Gorgeous goodies~
that's so great that you live near a well known quilter's area that draws a lot of interesting designers from all over. oc not exactly that way; although i did find out that the purl soho warehouse is here where they ship all the stuff from the website...hmm...
Yeah, I noticed that every time I get an order from purlsoho, it is postmarked from your area, Courts! How fun.....we sure could use a local quilt shop in this town.....not fair! I must come visit you, Jamie! I often look on the website of your favorite little shop in town! Looks like such fun!!!!!!
Jamie, I absolutely agree about Amy's new line. I have already started saving so I can buy buy buy come April. Plus, just for the record, I am sooo jealous you get to meet her. You will have to tell us all about it so take notes.
I was so excited to see those new patterns too! You are really lucky to meet Amy... hope you have a great time!
