Yesterday I attended the first meeting of The LA Modern Quilt Guild. I know some of you are thinking I'm not really a quilter (In fact, I think the only one I've ever put on my blog is this one for Bebe Grayson), but I'm really excited about having a group of like-minded, creative women to be inspired and challenged by. And they really are an incredible group! It was love at first meeting.
Alissa from Handmade by Alissa (who makes the coolest quilts I've ever seen and is the new VP of LAMQG). Liz from Lady Harvatine (who had the coolest hair ever). Jenny from Home Ec (the shop is so delightful and Jenny is too!). Chris from Izzy Inspired (who promises to teach me how to bind quilts so I can actually finish them!). And many more wonderfully warm & talented girls. We're going to have so much fun!
These quilts pictured are doll size and I finally put the binding on (after sitting dormant for about 2 years) and finished them when I was home sick last week.

Hey Jen- The next meeting is Nov 9! Looking forward to carpooling!
Hey Jamie! I am now a BIG fan of your site (not like I wasn't before, but I just became aware of Amy Butler :)) And I was wondering if you could tell me where you get her fabrics from...online or in a store?! Just curious as to what the easiest way to do it is...Thanks-Nikelle
