A few months ago, DS also did a collaboration with Crate & Barrel--not a whole lot left on their website but you might have luck in their stores or outlets...

Denyse Schmidt for Pottery Barn

I couldn't believe it when I opened the latest Pottery Barn catalogue to see a quilt by Denyse Schmidt featured. Don't you love the Single Girl Quilt above? Want the pattern? Read more about this partnership here. Wow. She is really adorable!

I made this for dinner tonight--it was easy & excellent. Perfect meal to make on a Winter work day. (Photo & recipe from Epicurious.)

Heads Up on Easterish Projects

While none of these would fit in the "tiniest easter basket in the world," (that is what my grandma used to like to delight us with when we were little) I found a few projects that you may want to get a jump on making...

The Bunny Beanie and Chicks in an Egg pictured above are some of the cutest knits I've seen. Or if knitting isn't your thing, maybe its time to get started on Betz's Cashmere Bunny that you meant to make last year? And, for you mommies that like to craft with your kiddos, I think these little chicks would be really fun--can I come over and make them with you?

AND, while they aren't a pattern you can make, the bunnies pictured above are handmade and available from one my favorite Etsy shops: Tiny Warbler. I think they would be the perfect tiny companion to my beloved "Rabbit," who turns 23 this Easter.

Food Writing - Memoirs

I'm looking forward to this book being out--I read a review today that the book is written more as a memoir than a cookbook. I'm really enjoying this type of food writing these days. Last month I finally read Phoebe's Service Included book, and this summer read Alice Waters & Chez Panisse: The Romantic, Impractical, Often Eccentric, Ultimately Brilliant Making of a Food Revolution. I recommend both. The one I'm struggling getting into (and I have no idea why because I love her) is Julia Child's My Life in France...it's been a few months so maybe it's time to pick it up again...
