We Met the Volkswagens

A few weeks ago we went to an Open House in the Fairhaven Eichler Tract in Orange and saw Volkswagen in action filming their new ad series. They turned the front of one Eichler home into a four car garage for the day--it was pretty crazy to see the styrofoam driveway being worked on and the new sod being cut by hand--what an amazing marketing crew. What? I have a blog?

Sorry to neglect you Blog. I haven't forgotten you—I promise. And now that I have internet and a computer—and feel relatively settled into the new pad, we can reconnect. Here are some things I have enjoyed since returning to the cyber world this week:

Cottage Garden & Urban Homesteading

Today I went with some friends on a garden tour in Orange. I totally expected to see little fairies flitting around this little cottage garden, but they were being too sneaky...

On a different side of the fence, check out this video of some urban homesteaders in LA County--it only takes about a minute to watch and is definitely worth it. The Boy emailed me the website a few years ago and it looks like they've been discovered by Oprah since. Also, a gardening book on my library list...
