Dwell on Design Conference 2009

Yesterday Jamie and I went with The Boys to Dwell Magazine's Dwell on Design Conference in Los Angeles. Our tickets included a tour of East Side LA modern homes which were fabulous--take a quick look through some photos here. We also saw/heard many designers at the conference. I especially enjoyed hearing about the design process of Mike and Maaike and of Dror--check the links below for more info...

Faythe Levine of Handmade Nation
Billie Lopez of Reform School

Leo Marmol of Marmol Radziner

Tierra y Fuego

I fell in love with Tierra y Fuego today--especially the Santa Barbara and Barcelona collections...I look forward to using some of them in my re-design of a Spanish Colonial Revival style library in Anaheim this summer. Photos coming in August! For now, some photos from the Tierra y Fuego website...

Sweet Dreams are Made of These:

I'm looking forward to decorating the bedroom in our new apartment. As it will evolve over the next several months, I put together this mini inspiration board to help guide the process. I already have an elephant side table (similar to this one from Z Gallerie), the Hemnes dresser from Ikea and Orange Keep Calm Poster (which you knew I wanted from this post). I'm coveting these pillows and Cirrus Bedding from Anthropologie. And of course, still dying for a Barcelona chair. Plus, I love how the Tutti Bird print from Suspect Shoppe fits right in too! I'll keep you posted on how the vision comes together...
